Ranakpur is one of the most famous places to visit in Pali, Rajasthan. Ranakpur is easily accessed by road from Udaipur. Ranakpur is widely known for its marble Jain temple, said to be the most spectacular of the Jain temples. There is also a small Sun temple which is managed by the Udaipur royal family trust.

We were initially told that we couldn't bring our cameras inside the temple. That is incorrect. You must buy a "permit" which costs about $1.00 US and then you can take photos inside

Synopsis. Kumbhalgarh Fort's sturdy architecture speaks volumes of India's rich culture. Kumbhalgarh Fort, built in the 15th century, separates Mewar from Marwar. It resembles the Great Wall of China due to its 36 km long perimeter of walls and is considered the second longest in the world.

I found Kumbhalgarh far more dramatic & enticing than Chittor, the walled fort is a great excursion from Udaipur. Chittorgarh is bigger but less attractive & very crowded. Plus, as a day trip from Udaipur, you can go to Kumbhalgarh & Ranakpur Jain Temple, which is another lovely architecture.

Mount Abu is way quieter than Udaipur because it is a small hill station while Udaipur is one of the biggest cities in Rajasthan. Which place has more sightseeing spots- Udaipur Vs. Mount Abu? Udaipur has more sightseeing spots than Mount Abu.
